Brillantmont International School - Lausanne Switzerland since 1882

Weekend activities

At weekends our students are kept very busy as many activities are organised. Usually on Saturday mornings the boarding students have supervised study hall until midday, so the weekend begins after this time. The activities organised may be aimed at a specific group of students or may be open to all students, including day students, who are warmly invited to join us.
The activities in previous years have included: horse-riding day;  sailing day;  paintballing; adventure tree circuit climbing; roller blading; trips to art exhibitions;  trips to thermal baths; trip to Geneva; trip to Lucerne; trip to Berne; trip to Annecy, France; a weekend in Lyon, France; a weekend in Milan, Italy.

From January to April, skiing is a highlight of life at Brillantmont. Each weekend, a day trip to a famous ski resort is organised and the students follow classes taught by the Swiss Ski School. We also organise two or three long ski weekends during that term, which are always great fun.
During the long Ascension weekend in May, a four day trip is organised to a neighbouring country – in previous years, this has been to the Munich area.
It is important that students have some free time however, in which to discover Lausanne, to go shopping , to meet up with friends for a coffee in town or simply to stay at school and relax.
