Language programme

This programme is for students who wish to spend a full year or one or two terms studying languages.
Students follow an intensive course in French or English. They study their chosen language for 18 hours a week. These hours incorporate the study of grammar, the use of authentic materials, the use of the computerised language laboratory, the Internet and a field trip component to discover the local area. Students also study up to 2 more languages from those taught (French, English, German, Italian, Spanish), as well as 4 hours of sport per week. Classes of Personal Social and Health Education are compulsory for every student.

On demand, the programme can be personalised. For example, if students would like to replace the second or third language by another subject – mathematics, they may do so.
Students who join our language programme are prepared for the ALTE (Association of Language Testers in Europe) examination in their chosen language (French – DELF; English – KET, PET, FCE; German – Goethe Institut; Italian – Università per Stranieri Perugia; Spanish – Instituto Cervantes).
