Winter course

This programme is designed primarily for students from parts of the world where there is a long vacation in January and February. We offer a course of intensive French and the opportunity to learn and practise skiing or snowboarding in the Swiss Alps.

Students follow an intensive course in French with 22 hours of study per week, which comprises of grammar study, the use of authentic materials, the use of the computerised language laboratory, the Internet, conversation workshops and many off campus workshops to discover the local area. Students also take sports classes and the weekend ski trips are included in this course. Day trips to Berne, the Swiss capital and Geneva are also organsied.

At an additional cost, students may be able to participate in an extra-curricular activity during their stay.
The course commences in January and lasts for five weeks. Even though they are only here for a short time, the winter course students are fully integrated with the other Brillantmont students and have the opportunity to share not only the boarding houses, but also the extra-curricular and social aspect of Brillantmont life.
A limited number of places are available and no decisions with regard to acceptances are made until mid-September, preceding the January start date.
